The West Yorkshire Python User Group (WYPy) have been meeting monthly since 2007. Our meetings are free, and usually include at least one talk, as well as a trip to the pub.
Oscar is a Django e-commerce framework designed for flexibility. It employs a range of techniques that allow to swap out every aspect of it. In this way it can be used to capture a wide range of e-commerce requirements, but the framework code still stays sane.
This talk will examine the key techniques used by Oscar that allow this flexibility, and offer some insights on how to approach the design of frameworks in different domains.
This session should be suitable for anyone with some knowledge of object oriented design.
Thursday 12 June. Talk at 7.30.
If you want to arrive before the talk, The venue will be open from about 6.30. We will be finished at around 9, and we will be going to the pub afterwards.
We will be meeting at the offices of The Test People:
You will need to call Peter on <removed> for access, as we can't hear the buzzer at the door.
